StarBaron - Skirmish

"Great fun, minor problems."

I really liked this game.

1.The ai was smart, but a little to fast for normal mode, I could barely keep up.

2.Not sure if this was me, but the control seemed some what unresponsive. Could have been that i lagged.

3.It's very difficult to select the right stars that you want to change. One time i thought i only had 1 star selected, but i acutally had them all selected, and i changed them all to economy stars :(.Make it easier to tell what stars you have selected or not.

5. I always struggle against the ai until they begin pushing me back, then i create a very strong line of defense. If you have a wall of defense stars that are very big, the ai will never get through it. They constantly attack multiple defense stars with a constant attack, without building up a large force. 1 by 1 they get killed by my huge defense stars, never getting close to breaking through, behind my lines i build an economy star and a naval star. For some reason, the ai always leaves a back door into their base with only economy stars and naval stars. So i take my force and sneak into thier base, take every undefended star. By then all of thier ships are atttacking my defenses, and i control most of the galaxy. Ai was very smart, but a little lacking, easy to read and very predictable. I'd like to see mutiple types of ai strategy, not just 1. It would be inresting to play against mutiple opponents that do diffrent things, turtle, rush, mixed, or all basics.

6. Minefields are not strong enough compared to defense stars. With a mine field, every ship that goes into it dies and the minefield becomes smaller, with a defense star, the ships that go into it just die, not weaking it. Try the strategy in #5 with minefield, against a stronger opponent, they are just not as good against a constant stream on ships.

7. Hotkeys are not very useful. Those letters are spread all over the key board, it might be just as fast to do it with a mouse. Try 1,2,3,4, ot something easy that i can quickly press with 1 hand without spending to much attention, trying to find in on the keyboard.

I was very entertained by this game, great work and keep it up!
